The Engineering Technology Department is a part of the College of Sciences and Technology. The programs within the Engineering Technology Department emphasize practical, “hands-on” laboratory experiences in addition to strong theoretical course work. This curriculum is designed with input from strong industrial advisory committees to prepare students for professional positions in industry. Graduates of the programs have consistently been placed in positions appropriate to their field of study. Companies that employ graduates include: Alpha Technologies, Boeing Company, CH2M-Hill, Cypress Semiconductor, Daktronics, Fleck, Fluke Corporation, Janicki, Mentor Graphics, Microsoft, Nike, Physio-Control, PACCAR, Pro-CNC, Rane Corporation, Rothenbuhler Engineering, Tempress, Triquest, Universal Avionics, etc. There are numerous opportunities to participate in projects and undergraduate research.
